One of its kind thefts that occurred around 3 or 4 a.m. last Thursday has left the market in jitter as the thieves decamped with goods from a showroom which was located near the Sodala Police Station.
Sugreev Singh Ranawat, President, RCTA, informs, “We have registered a complaint in the police station and are following the case rigorously. Police is investigating the matter. Due to the negligence of the ASI and the SHO present at the time of the theft, we have demanded the commissioner of Police to take action against the police personnel. Due to the pressure created by the association, the commissioner has suspended SHO and transferred the ASI.”
He adds, “It is an unfortunate event that had occurred in the region. The thieves were very well informed about the showroom and were technology savvy so much so that they took the hard drive of the CCTV cameras. There has been no clue left to catch hold the culprits. However, the investigation is on and we are taking every measure to catch them.”
The association has organized a meeting and has issued the letter to the major offices, showrooms in Jaipur to have proper vigilance and security to curb these kinds of thefts.
