Dubai Government embraced mobility to provide smart government while his Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai today (20th Oct’ 2013) innaugrated GITEX Technology Week – the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia region’s top ICT exposition.
Dubai Government has occupied the largest exhibiting space with 70 entities at the 33rd Gitex Technology week. The event runs until October 24 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. About 31 Dubai Government Departments are taking part while the Federal eGovernment has nine entities.
Sponsored by the UAE Ministry of Finance, the event witness a 26 per cent increase in international exhibitors and a 12 per cent increase in exhibitors this year. This year event sees 25 per cent more participation of government departments including the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Environment and Water, General Authority of Islamic Affairs & Endowments, and the Ministry of Labour.
On the sidelines of the show, Etisalat Group celebrated an enduring partnership with MasterCard that has brought award-winning technology to the market.
